Adyatama Kepariwisataan dan Ekonomi Kreatif Ahli Utama Kemenparekraf, Nia Niscaya, praised the BMW Ultimate Journey during “The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno” held at Gedung Sapta Pesona, Jakarta, on Monday (August 12, 2024).
“We highly appreciate the BMW Ultimate Journey scheduled to start on August 15, 2024. Essentially, this is a collaboration between Kemenparekraf and the community, carrying the message of Wonderful Indonesia,” said Nia Niscaya in the hybrid event.
Nia hopes that in the future, Indonesia will become a host for international communities to gather and hold events.
“And remember, it’s not about the number, but about the segment, so that it can attract quality tourists,” Nia added.
Fransiskus Handoko, Director of National and International Events at Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, added that the ministry supports the event, which not only significantly contributes to domestic tourism movement and international tourist visits but also positions Indonesia as a top destination for sports tourism.
“We also hope that this mission will continue to consider risk mitigation, as long journeys must account for potential risks, and of course, we wish for the mission to be accomplished successfully,” said Handoko.
BMW Ultimate Journey Team Leader, Posma Panggabean, thanked Kemenparekraf for their support of the event.
“We have been provided with kits by Kemenparekraf, including souvenirs, booklets, and other promotional materials. I am also bringing ulos, which we will distribute as part of our efforts to promote Indonesia,” said Posma.
Routes Leader of the BMW Ultimate Journey, Bruse Novan, explained that the journey is expected to pass through 27 countries, presenting a potential opportunity to introduce Indonesian destinations and culture at each stop.
“And we will also be as active as possible in promoting this journey through our social media platforms on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with ID @bmwultimatejourney,” said Bruse.
